Sandals Saint Vincent And The Grenadines Opening March 27th 2024

Exciting news Sandals Resorts fans! The brand is welcoming another brand new resort into their portfolio. Sandals Saint Vincent & The Grenadines is scheduled to open its doors to guests on March 27th, of 2024. Yes, we know this was slated to be a Beaches Resort, but apparently as work began on the property, SRI higher ups took a look around and reevaluated things when they realized the 50 acre property was a much better fit for a luxury Sandals. Adam Stewart, the Sandals Executive Chairman, was quoted saying that this property would be "one of the most extraordinary hotels ever developed in the Caribbean and would significantly impact the island's economy." [From a Jamaica Observer Article]

We couldn't be more excited for this new resort, just based off of the released renderings of what we'll be expecting to see. According to the Sandals web page for this brand new property, there will be 12 restaurants, 5 bars (including swim-up bar), 5 pools, 3 whirlpools, 1 SCUBA pool, and all the same amenities you know to expect from the brand.

Per the Sandals website, there will be some brand new room features as well as some room features we've come to know and love at other Sandals properties.

What Will The Rooms Be Like?

Expect to see luxury soaking tubs on the balconies and in the bathrooms.

Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villa (per the website)

Bamboo Palm Partial Oceanview Room with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub (per the website)

One-Bedroom Garden Butler Suite with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub (per the website)

We're also expected to see the beloved Overwater Villas, butler suites with private plunge pools, as well as swim-up suites in both Club and Butler level.

What's New?

Media rooms or personal gyms inside your room? This one is a big change. Most suites at Sandals will have a living room area separate from the bedroom. However, at this resort they've upgraded the living rooms and turned them into "Media Rooms" which boast a 75 inch HD TV and sound bar as well as what looks like incredibly comfortable deep cushioned couches that could double as another bed. Hopefully room service will deliver tubs of popcorn into the evening.

For guests who would rather stay active than lounge around in their room, some rooms come with exercise equipment instead and can be booked to include that in place of the media room.

Two Bedroom Butler Villas are a first for Sandals, but this gives friends and family traveling together the option to share a suite but not a room. There appears to be a common area with a living room and dining room table, which also leads out to the suite's patio and private plunge pool. Both rooms king beds and their own en suites attached with a door that they can close off for privacy from the common area.

Two Story Overwater Villa are another first for the brand. The wildly popular Overwater villas and bungalows at other properties such as Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals South Coast and Sandals Grande St. Lucian are so in demand it's hard to find availability. We expect the same for these suites, especially since they will be uniquely two story. It appears, from the description on the website, that guests in these villas will have a living room and bedroom on the ground floor, with interior stairs leading up to the covered second floor deck which will include a private soaking tub. For more photos, click here and go to "Room Details" under the Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villa.

What Restaurants Will Be On Property?

How Can I Fly There?

Currently, options to fly to Saint Vincent are limited to nonstop routes from Miami (MIA) on American Airlines, Toronto (YYZ) on Air Canada (starts in October), and New York City (JFK) on JetBlue (ending in March). Sandals is reportedly working with both Delta and JetBlue to extend and increase more flight options for travelers as tourism on the island is expected to boom once the resort opens.

When flying into the island you'll want to fly into Argyle International Airport (SVD) and there is a 45 minute (included) transfer to the resort from there.
