At least 2020 is a great year for Sandals Resorts! After announcing their new Beaches Resorts in St. Vincent and stunning upgrades to their Sandals South Coast property, we figured they'd maxed out their great news for the year. But with just a few weeks left in the year they've officially surprised us all.
Sandals Deputy Chairman, Adam Stewart, announced on social media today that they will be adding a brand new Sandals property, Sandals Curaçao, to their resort portfolio. This resort will be the 16th Sandals property for the resort brand, and the 9th Caribbean island they will call home.

The property they've secured is a 3,000-acre development and there are already talks of future developments beyond the current property. Per the Sandals website, there will be new expansive pools, an addition of the brand's usual Global Gourmet™ dining options, all-new Sandals River Suites, and more.
Part of the property also includes an 18-hole Pete Dye championship golf course overlooking the ocean as well as two onsite marinas.

Of course this property will need to undergo a full "Sandalization" before it's open to guests. Currently they are set to begin work on that in 2021, with no official date on when the resort will be opening or when they will begin taking bookings.
