As big fans of Club MoBay at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica (airport code MBJ), we couldn't be more excited to check out the brand new Runway Departure Lounge when it opens this year.
For those unfamiliar with the service, the departure lounge provides travelers with comfortable seating, tables, unlimited finger foods and drinks (including alcohol), and WiFi while you wait to board your flight. You also have access to the VIP fast-track lane for security, getting you through the line quicker.

With the popularity of this airport service growing, the expansion allows 200 additional travelers to enjoy the perks of traveling in style and comfort. VIP Attractions, the Club MoBay parent company, announced the new lounge saying it will have "stunning views of the ocean and runway".

At the time of this blog being posted, the price for this departure service are $35 per adult and $23 per child, all-inclusive of food and drinks one inside the lounge.
Speaking of children, families will be most excited that this new option will allow travelers with children to enjoy the lounge while also having an incredible view. Currently, all travelers with children are required to remain in the family lounge which is located on the bottom level with no windows.

While no exact date was announced, this is scheduled to open sometime in the early part of 2024. It will be conveniently located by gates 1-7 for all travelers who reserve passes.
